The customer, who had his own crash test station, needed a software for controlling the triggering of test, grabbing images for high-speed camera (HotShot NAC, 1000 frames/s) and reading the deceleration from accelerometers placed on the crash test dummies.

My role in the project: C++ developer

TaskDescription
Implemented a control system for triggering the testThe system was controlled from a common GUI application. The test was triggered from the interface, checking various safety measures, arming the accelerometers and a camera.
Implemented a module for controlling and reading the data from DTS Slice Pro SIM accelerometerThe deceleration of various parts of the crash test dummy was measured with the sensors connected to the professional device (DTS Slice Pro). Communication with this device (from the controlling application) was realized through TCP/IP over WiFi.

Exemplary frame from the video captured during a crash test. I cannot provide more images due to NDA.
